WATCH: URI hold’s first annual safety week

The Department of Public Safety has come together to present URI’s first ever Safety Week to students and faculty. The event was held earlier this week over a course of three days. Students and faculty could sign up for the university’s emergency alert system, learn about bystander intervention and watch an FBI active shooter video, put on by the URI Police Department. Officials say it’s important that everyone is educated on best practices for safety, especially with spring break right around the corner.
