Police Beat: 10/17 to 10/24

Tuesday, Oct. 17

At 2:23 p.m. there was a drug offense reported at Merrow Hall on Butterfield Road. A bowl and blow torch used for marijuana were found; a report was filed.

At 9:21 p.m. larceny was reported at Browning Hall. It is currently being investigated.

Wednesday, Oct. 18

At 6:03 a.m. a janitor notified the police of vandalism at Chafee Hall on Flagg Road. The vandalism said, “No Trump, No KKK, No Fascists USA.”

At 11:06 a.m. there was another instance of vandalism. Three tires were slashed on a car in Fraternity Circle. A report was filed.

At 8:30 p.m. there was a bomb threat in Eddy Hall. Apparently, a note was left in an elevator, warning that the bomb will go off at midnight. A bomb dog was sent to the building and it was then secured. In response to this, a report was filed.

At 11:16 p.m. there was a call for suspicious activity on Flagg Road. The call was for two people sitting in a parked car. However, when the police arrived they found they were only talking.

At  11:52 p.m. a computer was stolen from the library. After there have been many stolen laptops, the Lieutenant stresses that students bring their laptop when getting up to go to the bathroom, print, etc. He says there are people waiting in the library for students to get up and leave their laptop behind.

Thursday, Oct. 19

At 9:08 a.m. there was a motor vehicle accident on Flagg Road. It is currently being investigated.

At 12:42 p.m. there was a report of an erratic driver on Plains Road and Flagg Road. In this situation, assistance was rendered.

Friday, Oct. 20

At 10:16 a.m. a motor vehicle accident occurred on Flagg Road. A report was filed.

At 11:09 a.m. a phone was stolen on Upper College Road. A report was filed.

Saturday Oct. 21

At 11:38 a.m there was a medical emergency at the B and C Lots. The intoxicated female was transported to the hospital.

At 10:12 a.m. there was a motor vehicle accident on West Alumni Ave.

Sunday, Oct. 22

At 12:48 a.m. there was an open door at the Athletic Shed. The building was checked and secured.

At 9:31 p.m. a drug offense was reported at Burnside Hall. A bong as well as marijuana was found. A report was then filed.

Monday, Oct. 23

At 3:08 p.m. there was vandalism found at the Health Services building on Butterfield Road. A report was filed.

Tuesday, Oct. 24

At 12:39 a.m. there was a car stopped on Upper College Road at East Hall. A citation/ warning was issued.
