For those who follow Marvel Studios movies closely, “Captain Marvel” will give information on the cliffhanger of how Nick Fury’s eyes were lost in the comics. “Captain Marvel” will be followed closely by the theatre release of “Avengers: Endgame” on April 26 and “X-Men: Dark Phoenix” on June 7. This action-packed Marvel Studios movie is a great way to start your spring break.

For those looking for an entirely different genre of movie, “Five Feet Apart” is a drama coming to theaters on March 15. The main roles are played by Haley Lu Richardson, Cole Sprouse and Claire Forlani. The premise of the movie is about two hospitalized patients, Will and Stella, who have cystic fibrosis and fall in love. Due to their illnesses, they are not allowed to go within five feet of each other, as cystic fibrosis patients can make each other much sicker.

The movie portrays their life stories as well as their struggles with living with the disease. They decide to do their treatments together to take care of each other. Their love is complicated by the risks of cystic fibrosis and the chance that human contact with another patient could worsen their conditions. In the trailer, Stella says “We need that touch from the one we love as much as we need the air we breathe. I never understood that until I couldn’t have it”.

The two want to be “normal” kids, living their lives and in love. This movie will be a tragic, but hopeful portrayal of love and positivity. Head to the movies on March 15 to see this forbidden love story unfold.

Whether you are interested in an action packed superhero movie or a heartwarming drama about love, spring break is the perfect time to relax and see a new movie.
