The band, The Wild!, will be performing in Providence on Sept. 29, bringing a fun rock-filled night to Rhode Island.
It is evident that the band could not be more passionate about rock music and are looking forward to introducing an audience to a good time this Saturday night.
“We are four guys from Western Canada who play rock and roll music louder, harder and faster than anybody else,” Dylan Villain, lead singer and lead guitarist, said. “We are on tour with Steel Panther and we like a good rowdy show to match our music and that’s what we expect from people in Providence, Rhode Island.”
The band is all about making sure their fans and audience have the best experience ever at their concert. They want to bring something new to the rock industry and prove that their band can rock harder than anyone else.
Their background speaks to this as well. The Wild! formed in Canada years ago at a house party, where a few members were playing. Villain decided to approach them and they bonded over their mutual love of rock and roll and partying.
“In fact, I would actually say that this band, instead of going to school, went to party school and got our masters in that,” Villain said.
Villain bases his lyrics off of the concept of personal freedom and being able to be yourself, which he receives from playing rock and roll music and partying. Freedom comes naturally to Villain and can be heard in his lyrics. He uses his lyrics as a way to truthfully speak to his audience.
“Living for the night, living for the moment and just be true to yourself and feeling freedom, whatever that means to you,” Villain said. “At the end of the day if you believe in freedom and feeling like you can do anything you want and having a good time, that’s what we are all about.”
Instead of writing what he thinks his fans will want to hear, he writes what naturally comes to him in order to connect to the audience on a different level. All members of The Wild want to form connections with their fans and enjoy making time to meet fans and talk to them after concerts. The band really appreciates their fan base and their love for the music that they have worked so hard to create.
Overall The Wild! is very excited to be able to bring their rock and roll music to different areas of the world and spread their love of partying and freedom to their audiences. The band cannot wait to perform in Providence for the first time and be able to meet their fans in the area.
The Wild can be seen in concert is this Saturday at The Strand Theater in Providence. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the show begins at 8:30. Tickets can be purchased for $25 in advance or $30 the day of. Steel Panther will be following their opening performance.
