Football:

FINAL (9/14): URI 21-9 Campbell

The University of Rhode Island football team returned to Meade Stadium on Saturday under the lights to take on Campbell University. The Rams never trailed in the game on their way to a 21-9 victory to stay unbeaten in Football Championship Subdivision play. Third-year quarterback Devin Farrell led the way with three touchdowns. Men’s Soccer:

FINAL (9/14): URI 1-1 Central Connecticut State

URI men’s soccer remained undefeated as they drew 1-1 with Central Connecticut State University on the road Saturday. The lone goal came from fourth-year Brandon Bermingham, his second of the season, while their defense continued the streak of not allowing more than one goal in any game this season. Women’s Soccer:

FINAL (9/12): URI 1-1 Bryant

FINAL (9/15): URI 3-2 Boston University

The Rams went on the road to Bryant University on Thursday, where a late goal in the 86th minute from first-year forward Kaia Rice helped them secure a 1-1 draw. On Sunday afternoon, URI returned home and put together their best offensive output of the season for their first win since August 29, a 3-2 victory over Boston University. Volleyball:

FINAL (9/12): URI 3-2 Harvard

FINAL (9/13): URI 3-2 Northern Illinois

FINAL (9/13): Stony Brook 3-0 URI

URI hosted the Art Carmichael Invitational at Keaney Gymnasium on Thursday and Friday, winning two of their three matches in the event. They took an early two set lead over Harvard University on Thursday night and held off a late surge from the Crimson as they completed a win in five sets.

On Friday morning, the Rams were the ones who came from behind as they won three straight sets to close the match for a thrilling five-set victory over Northern Illinois University.
