On Sept. 22, an incident of harassment was reported at Barlow Hall on Campus Avenue. The first officer arrived on the scene at 5:41 p.m. and the scene was cleared by 6:07 p.m. The incident resulted in a report being filed.
On Sept. 24, a suspicious person was reported at Burnside Hall on West Alumni Ave. The first dispatched officer arrived on the scene at 2:57 a.m., followed by four more officers over the next 30 minutes. The incident involved a man who appeared to be sleeping in his vehicle. The scene was not cleared for over an hour, with the last officer clearing the scene at 4:01 a.m. The report resulted in a transportation to the hospital, however no injuries were reported.
Over the course of the week of Sept. 22, nine cases of suspicious persons or activity were reported – an increase of 50% from the previous two weeks since classes began.
On Sept. 25, a complaint of a domestic or wild animal was reported on Route 138 and Keaney Road. An officer arrived on the scene at 4:45 p.m. and it was cleared by 4:58 p.m.
Three motor vehicle accidents happened over the course of the week of Sept. 22-29. One accident occurred on Campus Avenue and Upper College Road on Sept. 25. The first officer arrived on the scene at 9:19 p.m. and the scene was cleared by 9:40 p.m.
An hour later, at 10:34 p.m. a medical emergency occurred at Hillside Hallon Campus Avenue. Four officers arrived at the scene, and responded to a student experiencing an allergic reaction. The scene was cleared by 10:50 p.m. and the student was transported to the hospital.
