A note from the election chair:
As we approach this election cycle, it’s clear that it will be a competitive one with all seats likely to be filled. Senators have already begun planning and campaigning in ways that reflect the increased interest in this process — whether by sharing their platforms on social media, boothing in the Memorial Union or engaging with student organizations to better understand campus needs. The surge in student senate applications has been remarkable and it’s inspiring to see so many new faces stepping up. With many prominent seniors graduating, we are entering a new chapter and it will be exciting to witness the evolution of our student leadership. Representing the student voice is a privilege and I’m grateful for the opportunity to be reminded of its significance. As we navigate this exciting time, I encourage all students to stay involved, whether by attending Monday’s debate, campaigning for leadership roles themselves or voting on Tuesday on URInvolved.
