The University of Rhode Island has entered its fifth week of the spring semester. This is a quick rundown of police activity on campus as students approach the middle of the semester.
On Monday, Feb. 12, around 1 a.m., an incident of property damage occurred at the Phi Gamma Delta House on West Alumni Avenue, which then led to an investigation.
On Tuesday, Feb. 13, the fire alarm went off in Coddington Hall at 4 p.m., which was tended to and dismissed within 10 minutes. Shortly after, police tended to an incident involving alcohol in Coddington, which resulted in a report for all violations, taking about 40 minutes to tend to.
On Thursday, Feb. 15, a report of larceny was filed in the Memorial Union which took about 20 minutes to clear.
At 8 p.m., an incident of assault took place on Butterfield Road, which was cleared 30 minutes later after a report was filed.
On Saturday, Feb. 17, an incident of harassment took place in Garrahy Hall which was reported at 3:45 p.m., which was cleared at 4:30 p.m..
On Sunday, Feb. 18, vandalism was reported in Burnside Hall, which took about 20 minutes to clear.
Some car accidents were reported on campus throughout the week as well: two on Flagg Road, one in the resident lot, one took place at the Zeta Beta Tau House, one at Boss Arena, one on West Alumni Avenue and one on Lower College Road.
