Football:

FINAL (10/7): URI 34-30 Brown

Men’s Soccer:

FINAL (10/7): URI 1 – 0 Fordham

FINAL (10/10): URI 8 – 1 UM Fort Kent

The Rams took on nationally ranked #24 Fordham on Saturday and defeated the visitors 1-0. The Rams also faced off against UM Fort Kent on Tuesday. Rhody defeated the Bengals 8-1 in an offensive outburst on senior day. For more on the matchups, visit Sam Chozick’s recap (page 11, rhodycigar.com).

Women’s Soccer:

FINAL (10/8): URI 2 – 2 Fordham

URIfaced off against the Fordham Rams Sunday at the URI Soccer Complex. The two teams drew by a score of 2-2, with the visitors scoring in the final minute to knot the game at two. For more on the game visit Aidan Garvey’s recap (page 11, rhodycigar.com).

Volleyball:

FINAL (10/7): Davidson 3 – 0 URI

FINAL (10/8): Davidson 3 – 1 URI

The Rams fell in both of their matchups, the first of which they lost in three straight sets against Davidson on Saturday. The following day, the teams faced off again – this time the Rams took a set from the visiting Wildcats, but could not complete the comeback. The Rams fell to 3-16 overall and 0-7 in conference. Men’s Cross Country:

New England Champions – 1st of 15

The men’s cross country team traveled to Boston on Saturday to take part in the New England Championships. The team came in first place out of the other 15 teams competing. The win is a major milestone as it’s the first time the Rams have won the championship since 1952. Women’s Cross Country:

New England Championships – 3rd of 18

The women’s cross country team went up north to Boston as well to compete in the New England Championships. The team came in third place out of 18 other schools that competed at the event. Women’s Tennis:

Intercollegiate Tennis Association Regionals
