Student Senate Report 11/8

At this week’s Student Senate meeting, a grant was approved for the URI Fencing Club for $1,374.65.

The bill, as explained by Director of Treasury Bose, is “calling for the allocation of a $1,374.65 grant out of the capital improvements fund to the URI Fencing Club.”

There were many reasons as to why Bose believed the club deserved the grant. According to the bill, they are a long-standing student organization with a good fundraising record.

“This contingency grant would be a good long-term investment for the URI Fencing Club that would benefit them for future years,” Bose said.
