The University of Rhode Island Police Department responded to four medical emergencies, dealt with one report of theft and assisted with three motor vehicle accidents.
On Monday, Nov. 3, URI police filed a report in regards to a “campus-wide” theft threat, according to the Daily Activity Logs. The incident is still under investigation.
Police assisted with three motor vehicle accidents, none resulting in injuries. On Tuesday, Nov. 4, police assisted with an accident on Briar Lane. On Friday, Nov. 7, police cleared an accident on Flagg Road after less than 30 minutes. On Sunday, Nov. 9, police were called to an accident at the intersection of Butterfield and Flagg Road.
Police responded to two medical emergencies on Thursday, Nov. 6. and were first called to URI Health Services, after which they transported the patient to the hospital. Police then assisted with an incident in Peck Hall, also ending in a trip to the hospital.
On Friday, Nov. 7, police were called to a medical emergency on Upper College Road. Three officers were dispatched to the scene and the patient was transported to the hospital. On Sunday, Nov. 9, police assisted with a medical emergency in Weldin Hall. Police transported the patient to the hospital after arriving.
