The Student Alliance for the Welfare of Africa (SAWA) hosted their annual hair show Saturday April 8 in the Memorial Union Ballroom. The theme “Journey of Alkebulan Fashion” shared the story of their growth and journey through the fashion industry originating from Africa. The event featured a DJ and acted as an educational and fashion show. SAWA initiated their new interactive-intermission where vendors can showcase their products. These photos show the intertwining of fashion and culture.
