FINAL (10/19): URI 1 – 0 Richmond
FINAL (10/22): Dayton 1 – 0 URI
URI took down the Richmond Spiders Saturday in Virginia by a score of 1-0 in a victory which helped them clinch a playoff spot. The Rams then returned to take on the Dayton Flyers. The teams were deadlocked at 0-0 until the 85th minute when Dayton’s Laney Huber slotted one past Rhody’s keeper to give the visitors a 1-0 win.
Volleyball:
FINAL (10/20): Duquesne 3 – 1 URI
FINAL (10/21): URI 3 – 0 Duquesne
FINAL (10/25): Fordham 3 – 1 URI
The Rams traveled to Pittsburgh to take on theDuquesne Dukes in a weekend series. The Rams fell in four sets on day one before getting the 3-0 sweep over the hosts on the second day. The sweep marked Rhode Island’s first conference victory of the season. The Rams’ record moved to 4-19 overall and 1-10 in conference following the series. Nassau Intercollegiate – 2nd of 10
The Rhode Island Men’s golf team traveled to Nassau County, New York to participate in the Nassau Intercollegiate. The team placed in second out of 10 teams while on Long Island. For more on the tournament visit David Okula’s recap (page 12, rhodycigar.com).
