The University of Rhode Island Police Department assisted with 13 motor vehicle accidents, aided with 14 medical emergencies and responded to four suspicious activity reports.
On Monday, Jan. 26, police responded to two medical emergencies, both requiring transport to the hospital.
On Tuesday, Jan. 27, a harassment report was filed to the URI Police, in regards to an “ex situation.” There were five motor vehicle accidents, one of which assistance was rendered.
On Wednesday, Jan. 28, police responded to three medical emergencies, all requiring transportation to the hospital. Three motor vehicle accidents were called in. One assistance was rendered, another a report was filed and the last was unfounded.
Two acts of suspicious activity were reported to URI Police on Thursday, Jan 29. The first reported at Fraternity Circle as an unwanted person. Police were then called to investigate a suspicious person in the Robert L. Carothers Library, who was gone upon arrival.
Six motor vehicle stops on the URI campus were reported on Thursday, all issued with a warning and citation.
A non-URI student was found trespassing at Mackal Field House on Friday Jan. 30.
On Saturday, Jan. 31, a homeless man was reported for suspicious activity at Wiley Hall. The suspect was gone upon police arrival.
A larceny report involving a scooter in Burnside Hall was recovered on Sunday, Feb. 1.
