An individual was reportedly seen on the roof of Swan Hall on Tuesday, April 17. By the time authorities arrived at the scene at 12:23 p.m., the reported individual had already left. Police cleared by 12:26 p.m.
The second report of suspicious activity occurred on Lower College Road, police were notified of a suspect trying to gain access to a female student’s Instagram account. However, no action needed to be taken.
Authorities also responded to a total of 14 medical emergencies across the week with 11 of the cases resulting in the victim being transported to the hospital.
One incident occurred on Sunday, April 13, at 19 West Alumni Ave. where an individual sustained a knee injury and required transportation to the hospital for treatment.
Another medical emergency occured at Brookside Hall on Tuesday, April 15, where a resident reported flu-like symptoms and was also taken to the hospital.
In addition to these incidents, there were five reported motor vehicle accidents this week.
One of these collisions took place at the Narragansett Bay Campus, on Tuesday, April 15. The two-car accident occurred in the bay campus parking lot and resulted in minor injuries to those involved.
Police also conducted a well-being check on Sunday, April 20 at Butterfield Hall. The individual involved was experiencing a mental health episode and was safely transported to the hospital.
