URI is celebrating Earth Day on campus throughout April. Held around the world on April 22nd each year, Earth Day has grown since its inception in 1970 and is now a big deal in about 195 countries. It’s about celebrating the natural environment and the resources we depend on like clean air and water. It’s about raising awareness and promoting action.
