Police Beat: 2/18-2/25

On Sunday Feb. 18, there was an incident of vandalism at Burnside Hall that was reported at 6:30 a.m., which was tended to and cleared within 10 minutes. At 2:44 p.m., a car accident took place on Keaney Road at Boss Arena, where a report was filed and the scene took nearly an hour to clear.

On Monday, Feb. 19, suspicious activity was reported on Plains Road around 9 p.m., which resulted in a report being filed. The scene was cleared within 10 minutes.

On Wednesday, Feb. 21, another incident of vandalism was called in, this time at Keaney Gymnasium around 5 p.m.. The scene took about 15 minutes to clear.

On Thursday, Feb. 22, a report for harassment was filed at Wiley Hall at 11:36 a.m.. The scene took about 40 minutes to clear.

On Friday, Feb. 23, an incident of fraud was reported in the Memorial Union at 1 p.m., which resulted in a report filed and took close to two hours to clear. At 4:30 p.m., an incident of harassment was reported at the URI police station, which was cleared within 20 minutes. Noise complaints were called in at 11:15 p.m. at the Ellery Hall Pond, which resulted in a verbal warning and was cleared within four minutes.

On Sunday, Feb. 25, suspicious activity was reported at Keaney Gymnasium around 3 a.m., where a notification was sent out and the scene was cleared after 30 minutes. Another incident of suspicious activity was reported on Complex Road at 3:45 a.m., where another notification was sent out and the scene was cleared after five minutes.

Additionally, three car accidents took place on Old North Road, a report being filed for only one of them.
