“Now You See Me Now You Don’t” is a fun third installment in this universe full of magic and deception. This film follows three new magicians who are all fans of the famous horsemen who have made their impact on the world of magic.
The magic group, “The Eye,” unites the horsemen back together for one final mission with the three young magicians: Bosco, Charlie and June.
This film has to deal with a lot of characters, but they deal with all of them in such a brilliant way. The group pairings are fun, and the way the group is able to execute the big-scale tricks they pull off is remarkable.
The best part of this is the original cast of Jesse Eisenberg, Dave Franco, Woody Harrelson and Isla Fisher reuniting. This was the first time since the first movie as Fisher could not be in the sequel due to her being pregnant during filming. So, having the original four back together was very refreshing.
The movie has its display of great magic tricks and clear plot holes, but it still serves the purpose of what these movies try to accomplish; it is a fun watch. Each trick is so creative, and the build-up to the end and the big twist are as thrilling as ever.
The villain, Veronika Vanderberg, is an incredible antagonist, and Rosemund Pike does a great job in the role. She was a great threat to the horseman and was ready for a lot of their antics and was able to keep the movie entertaining until the very end.
