The University of Rhode Island Police Department responded to eight motor vehicle accidents this week.

Of the eight motor vehicle accidents two were on Butterfield Road, two were on Bills Road. and the remaining four were on West Alumni, Biar, Keany, and Plains. Only the accident on West Alum Ave. had more than one dispatcher and no accident required hospital transport.

On Feb. 17 a sex offense was reported in Adams Hall. The investigation is ongoing.

There were six medical emergencies, all of which required transport to a hospital. Two were on Feb. 19, and four were on Feb. 22. 

There were two uses of the campus blue lights. One use did not require action while the instance on Feb. 20 near Bliss Hall resulted in five dispatchers to the scene and an investigation. 

There were 11 burglar alarms, all of which were false. 

There were two reports of a suspicious person on campus. One Feb. 17 required assistance rendered while the other suspicious person reported on Feb. 21 could not be located with two dispatchers on the scene.
