University of Rhode Island police responded to 10 medical emergencies, six motor vehicle accidents, three larceny reports and one report of a suspicious person.

Nine of the 10 medical emergencies resulted in hospital transport. One incident involved an intoxicated student at Merrow Hall on Saturday, Feb. 7. In another case, officers assisted a student experiencing a seizure at Browning Hall on Thursday, Feb. 5,  the patient was transported to a nearby hospital.

Two of the reported accidents required vehicles to be towed from Keaney Road and West Alumni Ave.. One accident, on Monday, Feb. 2 involved two vehicles and was caused by weather conditions. No injuries were reported. Police reports were filed for all six accidents. 

Two of the larceny reports occurred on Monday, Feb. 2 involved stolen personal property, including a student’s laundry in Gorham Hall and a pair of boots at Burnside Hall. 

The suspicious person was reported at Independence Square on Tuesday, Feb. 3. The suspect was gone when officers arrived, according to police.
